Harrogate Swimming Gala

Congratulations to the eight athletes that competed at the swimming gala achieving 2 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze & 2 speeding tickets. The medal breakdown is as follows:

Ashley Dale - 1 Bronze

Nigel Halliday - 2 silvers & speeding ticket

Heidi Karaba - 1 gold & speeding ticket

Chris Kershaw - 1 Silver & 2 bronze

Neil McCallum - 2 Silver & 1 Bronze

Sharon Morris - 1 Gold & 1 Silver

Robert Thomson - 1 Silver & 2 bronze

Steven Wilcox - 2 bronze

Special Olympics - Leicester 2009

The special olympics was a huge success with Bradford Sports taking 57 athletes down to Leicester, and they came back with 82 medals. The breakdown was 33 Gold, 27 Silver and 22 Bronze which was a fantastic effort by all the athletes. A special thanks to all the coaches, that went down as volunteers to make a great weekend for all involved.

Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure - “provides disabled people throughout the Bradford area with sporting opportunities of both a recreational and competitive nature, with some members achieving international success”…

What other activities do we do? - Activities…

Guiding all our work is the philosophy: ‘Integration appropriate to the needs of the individual and groups.’ We support a range of clubs and activities for our members, all of which are run by skilled and enthusiastic volunteers. We also work in partnership with other providers of sport and recreation in order to meet our aims.

How do we get around? - Transport…

We have two accessible minibuses which support our members and other affiliated groups. If your group wishes to affiliate, please contact the office for more details.
